Vulcano, one of the wonderful Aeolian Islands, is famous for its incredible thermal baths. This small and charming island hosts many tourists who come to the island to take advantage of the hot mud baths and fumaroles, great for treating rheumatism and skin conditions.
This centenary mud baths are formed by an extended area located close to the main harbour where every day many villagers and tourists experience this natural environment enjoying their incredible benefits. The mud baths are divided in three areas: the “Pozza” which offers a mud area characterized by countless bubbles with sulphuric fumes and brackish water. These muds are famous for their beneficial effects on the skin , the respiratory tract and articulations; the “Acque Calde” is an area rich in hot waters where you can remove from your body the residues of mud after your relaxing dive. Close to the Acque Calde there are the “Fumarole”, receipts of air that are considered very healing for asthma and respiratory problems.
Some useful tips: Don’t wear watches and jewellery. Stay in the mud no longer than 15 minutes!

Hello, are the baths open in March?
Can you bath in the mud baths in December please?
Hi,
I have a question, in two weeks my family and I would like to visit the Vulcano Thermal Baths in the Aeolian Islands. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find information anywhere about whether the spa is open or whether it is accessible to the public. I know there is a lot of vuccan activity going on right now. Did it not affect the operation and access to the spa? Is the spa open? Can we visit them with our family and bathe in them?
Thank you very much for your reply

Please could you give me some advice. My family and I are flying to Sicily in a month and we wanted to visit the Thermal Volcanic Spa on the island of Vulcano. I can’t find anywhere if the thermals are open or closed.
Please, is it possible to swim here? Is the spa open?
Thank you very much for your reply
