Welcome to La Via del Carretto, a delicious and ideal place for a relaxing stay at the starting point for the discovery of routes both known and little known. We are in the small hillside village of Capri Leone, located in North Eastern Sicily, a few kilometers from the sea and surrounded by the green mountains of Nebrodi, offering green mountains Nebrodi which at this point offering picturesque view of Alicudi, Filicudi and Salina (Aeolian Islands).
The building that houses our B&B was once a collection of old tower houses huddled together, built between the second half of the C9th and early C10th, and they have been restored and renovated through careful work aimed at preserving as much as possible the original structure of the buildings and to merely enhance them, consolidating already strong stone walls using traditional materials to keep the simplicity of the plac, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Rooms are simply and carefully furnished, where possible, through recycling and creative reuse of materials present in the old building. Our inviting and delicious breakfasts and simple and cozy atmosphere make our B&B a great place for those who want to escape from crowded places and avoid the widely-visited tourist resorts while at the same time wishing to explore the surrounding area and know a “piece” of Sicily
