Palazzo Rosso spans an area of 18,000m² and was once a farmhouse owned by nobility. The Palazzo Rosso boasts gardens, a swimming pool with it’s own changing rooms and ‘relaxation area’, a spa, a childrens’ playground, private parking and an area devoted to agriculture. The entire facility is fully accessible to the disabled.
The farmhouse, completely restored in a style respecting the original architecture, is on two floors. On the ground floor you will find the reception, the dining and catering area. The reception is dominated by an ancient columns of the original eighteenth century Palace, made entirely of lava stone and placed at the centre of the room to hold up a vaulted ceiling. The catering area, originally an old workshop and mill, is now the main hall, a bar and large kitchens that you are welcome to visit upon request.
The guest rooms are on the second floor and part of the Spa area. Access to the Spa is via a wooden path that leads to an observation tower where you will find a jacuzzi for 6 people. The tower has a glass roof and walls and from there you can see Taormina, Etna and the Ionian Sea. In the evenings, while relaxing in the tub, you can see the lights of the coast and a beautiful starry sky.
On the ground floor there are two saunas and Chromo-Therapeutic showers. There is also our summer saltwater swimming pool.
The garden has a monumental Cedar of Lebanon, as well as fruit and ornamental trees. It boasts a collection of rare trees, Aleppo pines and Casuarinas. These trees, dozens of metres high, are protected species.
