The farm “Casa Mistretta” is located on inter-municipal road 12, in the municipality of Altavilla Milicia. The old house, a farm building from 1800 in the middle of an olive grove, has been carefully restored and designed to accommodate nature lovers, for a unique experience in harmony with the Mediterranean landscape. Antonino D’Ugo and Marchese Ugo’s goal in this project was to keep the rural landscape unchanged while maximising its agricultural resources. With beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Casa Mistretta has 8 apartments on two floors. The apartments are equipped with every comfort: TV, air conditioning, kitchen, utsensils.
The restoration work has been focused on preserving the original features of the building volume in a fusion of old and new in eclectic style. Among olive groves, the view is of still-cultivated land, whose fruits and vegetables are grown so our guests can experience genuine Sicilian cuisine. Ten hectares of olive groves of “Calamignara” varieties produce an excellent quality organic olive oil, and oil from fine mess, both green and black, most notably “u passuluni acciuratu”. Then there are the trees, a lovely infinity pool looking east toward the Gulf of Cefalu, a shooting range for archery and a bowling green.
