Dammusi “Fanciullo” is located in Zubebi or “contrada zibibbo”, on the slopes of an extinct volcano called the Montagna Grande (Big Mountain). At 836 meters above sea level, it’s the highest mountain in Pantelleria. Seeing the breathtaking view that stretches over Pantelleria village and beyond towards the horizon to the southwest where Africa lies, you will enjoy an intimate and relaxing moment of meditation. The Dammuso where you will be staying is an open plan environment with a living room, stone kitchenette and a bed. The front door opens onto your personal veranda, covered by the traditional ‘cannizzo’ and where you will find a wooden table, traditional stone seats called “ducchene” and a BBQ area.

Our accommodation is the ideal place for a couple, and has the advantage of being not far at all from the village. A ten-minute drive and you reach the seaside sites of this most famous and accessible island. A short distance away is the Phoenician Acropolis of Cossyra, which is the ancient name of the island. This is an archaeological area in the hills of San Marco and Santa Teresa, where important Roman remains were found (the famous three marble heads of Julius Cesar, Agrippina and Titus). There are inspiring views of the harbour and the urban area of Pantelleria. At sunset it is possible to see the profile of the Tunisian mountains on the horizon, and on some nights you can see the Sicilian coast.
The island is connected daily throughout the year with Palermo and Trapani and there is easy access to and from the airport and port.
In summer Pantelleria is also connected with the airports of Rome, Fiumicino, Milan, Venice, Bergamo, Bologna, Lugano.

You will find a friendly couple who will guide you on a journey of discovery of the countless treasures found here on the island. If you wish, your hosts can also provide moments of relaxation with dinners served in the garden.
We are also happy to assist with car rental or to rent the car available at the Dammuso at a reasonable price. We can show you the places to go to experience the most authentic aspects of Pantelleria, and where to buy local products like Passito, capers and Tumma, a cheese typical of the island. The use of the barbecue and outdoor oven is included in the price.
