Tenuta di Roccadia is a farm surrounded by countryside, situated in a magnificent panoramic position from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Gulf of Catania and Mount Etna. The temperate climate in winter and gentle summer winds allows the cultivation of citrus fruits used to produce handmade preserves and liqueurs on site.
In 1070, the farm was donated by Count Roger de Hauteville to the Cistercian monks who turned it into a convent. This link to history is preserved at the estate in a copy of the monks’ painting, the “Madonna di Roccadia” (also called “Madonna of the Pomegranate”); the original of this work is kept in the church Roccadia in Carlentini. Over time the estate has undergone renovation and adaptations that have transformed the structure into a destination of great charm. Our farm offers its guests, twenty comfortable rooms, located in different areas of the farm.
Among the farmhouses in Sicily, the Tenuta Di Roccadia is well known for the quality of services offered, but above all for the chance to taste genuine traditional foods and to stay in proximity to the farm animals.
