In the magic of Modica Bassa, we brought new life to a former palace of the Grimaldi overlooking the alley and at the foot of the staircase of the Cathedral of St. Peter. We want this place to be an abode in which to express the Sicilian hospitality in our own way.
Here you find my kitchen, ever linked to the memories of childhood suspended between sea and countryside, lunches under the trees, the olive harvest, the scent of the sea. Here, everything looks like me, in the heat of a house that I feel is mine and I am happy to welcome my guests.
The floor poses as a field of flowers, chairs and walnut tables recall the generous trees, the colours are those of the countryside, the lanterns those of small boats that were hung from trees in the summer evenings: all details that bring an intimacy to the restaurant an imaginary game, to bring to the table and to relive the excitement of life in the fields.
