Tindari is a small village located in the northern part of the province of Messina. It was a Greek city so there are plenty of stunning and intriguing ruins if you wish to go sightseeing. Salvatore Quasimodo, the acclaimed Italian poet, wrote the immortal poem “Vento a Tindari” inspired by this wonderful place. Looking along the beach you will see a rocky hill that rises high above the sea on which stands its famous Madonna.

Along with the variety of historic monuments, its beaches are also equipped with coastal facilities, with all sorts of touristic amenities, cafés, restaurant and bars. The coast offers a special views of the the Aeolian Islands and the volcano. As you go down the hill at the foot of Cape Tindari is Lake of Marinello, a gorgeous and small nature reserve sea bay with easy access.
