TheMangiapane Caves is 18km from Trapani, it is an astonishing place rich in history and culture and it exibits well the antique Italian traditions. This caves preserve a fascinating ancient village of the 19th century which hosted lots of people during the II World War. The name Mangiapane derives from the last family who used to live there from the 1800’s until the 1950’s.
Nowadays it offers an open-air anthropological museum where visitors can understand how life could have been in Italy during their golden days.
